Order of the Stick

So my wheel has selected this suggestion for Friday: Order of the Stick! I have no idea what this series is about (which seems to be the theme for all the series I’m blogging about). When I first heard about it, my first thought was the South Park: Stick of Truth, which I guess isn’t far off.

Looks like we are dealing with a D&D party made entirely of stick figures. Sounds fun.

Side Note, I actually have been on Giant In The Playground before. They have some helpful tips on how to build a decent character for each class. I used a lot of their suggestions when making a wizard and fighter character. So I like these guys, and know they know what they are doing.

Bunny Girl Senpai

So this is what the wheel has spoken people. This time we get an anime! Rascal does not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. This will be the first time I have blogged video reactions, so hopefully it will go well.

I was actually planning on watching this show on my own time, so I was pleasantly surprised that someone suggested this as a liveblog. The version I am watching is a fansub edition because based on the recommender, the official version is garbage and super bad. So yeah, FanSub version.

I know nothing about this show. I just really want to watch it based on the title cover. I mean, it is a playboy bunny at an aquarium, how are you not interested.

Well, let’s get started!

8-Bit Theater 1

So Day 4 of the Trial runs has given be 8-Bit Theater. I have no idea what this will be about. Looks like they use adorable 8-bit graphic characters in what I am guessing as RPG adventure series. I mean, the guy in red looks like a fight fighter character and the other guy looks like a black wizard kirby.

I guess time for adventure

Isaac takes Max to his secret base where he meets up the Doorman, a supernatural being who is currently a fugative and in hiding for unknown reasons. He is a close friend to Isaac and allows Isaac to use his powers to enter any door in the world, as long as he has key. The Doorman tries to talk to Max, but Max was suddenly possessed and talked in his stead, freaking the Doorman out, and disappeared before either Isaac or Max noticed. Once in the Club Room, Max tried to ask Spender questions, but Spender caught on quickly and didn’t reveal much. However, due to the openness and friendliness of the club, Max decided to join, and starts his new life in the Paranatural Activities Club

Widdershins

So with all of the nice suggestions I have, I had decided to stick them all onto a big wheel, spin it, and see do whatever comes up first. So the first try of the potential next series is Widdershins.

I know nothing of this comic. 0%. Nadda. Looks like it is about ye olde magicians. It looks like it has a fun feel to it. So it could be an interesting read.

While Max continues to dodge Johnny, Suzy takes notice and launches her phone at Max, trying to convince him to become her “man on the inside” for the Activities Club. When Max refuses, Johnny returns and ended up stealing Max’s Scooter and Bat, causing destruction as Max gives chase, leaving Isaac behind to deal with both the Sphinx and Ollie. Max manages to grab his bat, and uses his new magnetic powers to summon his scooter back, causing Johnny to tumble and hit his head on a rock. Issac returns and finally scared off the Sphinx with his weather powers. The two of them leaves when Ollie arrived, when Johnny reveals to Ollie that he saw Issac’s abilities

Our hero Max woke up to find Isaac inside his family store before school. As they walk together to school, Isaac tells Max about some of the powers that  spectrals have, while continuously dodging both human and spirit obstacles. Now with Isaac battling the Sphinx, Max finds himself launched back into the yard he fled from.

So Max and PJ went down to investigate a strange noise only to find a whale-frog spirit eating its own reflections. Max got scared and called Isabel for help, but had to try and survive until she was able to get there. The Whale-Frog noticed Max and started attacking him for having strange power. During the fight he briefly went into another plane where he saw a giant snake. Then Ed appeared and defeated the Whale-Frog, who fled into a plunger, where Ed and Isabel took back with them.
