How people managed to figure that one out without help is beyond me. I tried to do the head tilt, but to have the negative space and read it bottom-up, damn that is complex.

I do know the translation of said code: YOUR RETURN CHANGES NOTHING, SCHEMER. MY MASTER DOES NOT FEAR BROKEN GODS and ARROGANCE. YOUR POWER IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF. RIDDLES AND WORD GAMES.“

So we have a powerhouse going on here. If we look at the context again:

Doorman’s boss is a woman, someone who knows Snake well. Or someone Snake knows. And she seems to be injured or affected in some way/shape/form. And while Snake may no longer be in control, he still has power. Enough for Doorman to still fear.

Honestly this one of the most interesting scenes by far

That is the end of the chapter, and where I will stop for today.

So that was a way to end the chapter. We met the Doorman, who is such a mentor figure I latched onto him instantly. I love how wise he was, and was willing to teach Isaac. We met Snake-Max, and THAT was a surprise. I knew the snake was a powerhouse, but to share a fugitive shitless like that, oh man they is a force to be reckoned with. Especially how they was able to take control of Max without his knowledge. Oh it is going to be a dark day indeed once they get out.

We met Issac’s god, and he is like a storm version of Endevour. So do not like him. And the rest of the club, they are good. Goofy, weird, crazy at some points, but at the end of the day, they are there for each other. And I like that.

Side note: given that I have went through 150 pages within 9 days, I am going to readjust my blogging schedule. I don’t want to burn myself out too fast, so I am going to blog paranatural 2-3 times a week. I still want to continue with the series, but let’s go slower this time.
