Well, I mean, Feferi would have been Empress Pre-Reset. And Feferi wanted to protect and care for the trolls and end killing and slaughter like what they were doing now.

Which, I am totally down and behind Feferi being Queen, 100%.

But, should also point out, that Feferi was trying to protect the cuttlefish she was raising by continuiously keeping them locked in cages. Which is an acceptable mentality if anyone on the street can kill you just because they are board.

So I sort of got this weird idea of uh….well I guess the Pre-Reset version would be the true Queen Feferi wouldn’t it?…..that she would rule like Princess Celestia from MLP:FIM. Where she is open and in charge, and everyone loves her, but there is this mentality that you have to do your best and do the best you can in the field you specialize in, so you can’t really move anywhere outside your skill-set, even for hobbies that you actually like.

Couple that with Feferi’s “keep them in cages to be safe” philosophy, this utopia can turn into a Brave New World real fast.

You know, that can be a fair interpretation of the power usage. But, there has to be some trolls that abused their powers right? Those would be the villains and outcasts that Aranea were talking about before, but it sounded like there weren’t that many out there to begin with.

The idea that troll powers were common but weren’t abused and used in a way to greatly benefit others? Sounds perfect and idolistic, and I am sure that there was another shoe to drop before Scratch got his cue-ball hands on it.

I’M BACK!!!

Hey guys, miss me?

Vacation was a fun fun time. I hope you enjoyed the queued series I left posting for you. If you like the series, didn’t like the series, or have other opinions on how I do things, come join the fun at the Discord where you can talk to me live-time.

You guys came at me with a TON of asks while I was away. So I might not start back into the grind just yet (thinking a day or two). But I can still answer your lovely responses!

Chapter 1 Completed

Well that kicked off the start of something interesting.

I like how the prologue showed us something that us the audience could understand, Alice in Wonderland. The whole point of that book was a girl being trapped in another place. But it took that concept and was like, well what if it happened in other stories, like it was always meant to happen. So after this Alice, there is another Alice, and another. (ever watched Alice Human Sacrifice?)

Then we get I guess hints as too who the other book characters are. The Dancing Shoes girl, Wicked Witch who lost her name (damn you are dumb for selling that). Jack who could be like 12 thousand different Jacks. But they are all able to be out in the mundane world as well as magical, that is important distinction. Do they come from the magical lands, or is it closed off to them as well?

I love how so far, the only thing colorful is the magical portions. When Alice came back, and the magical fire. That’s why I said Wizard of Oz so soon, because the world was black and white until Dorothy was brought in to Oz.

Emma and Elaine are cool. I can really tell that they are sisters, so it is nice to see their sibling bond be so natural. And Ben will be a good friend/caretaker, especially with Emma out of the picture. Wasn’t much time spent with the other side characters like 46 and Jack, outside of the murder, but they do set up the bigger picture oh so nicely.

On my Fibonacci Scale of 1 to 21: it gets an 8. I like the concept of being forced into a path based on your name, and chroniclers who write down the stories.  The chapter had as low start, but really showed the type of people our main cast is before getting to any of the heavy plot stuff, as well as throw in a lot of references/hints as to what kind of stories will be seen in this series. Will definitely save this series for later.

Yo WHAT???

Folks, here is a PSA for you: When living in fairy tales, DON’T give away your names. Not to the Good Folk. Not to the nice little witch across the lane. If you want to be polite, give a nickname, or maybe just a first name.

Because with magic, names are used as identities. They define Who You Are. Wizards, Witches, Fae can take your identity from you, thus stealing you very soul, and control you til the day you die.

Basically, DON’T DO WHAT SHE DID!
