Weird. I mean, I guess it sort of makes sense because the pets/animals got renamed all the time in Beta-Verse. But that was because the name wasn’t known. When John knew that Jade called the rabbit a girl, he gave her a girl name. 

Here, it is like the identity is changed depending on the owner, and that idea makes me a bit uncomfortable.
