The Beginning’s End

So that was interesting to read. I did not expect zombies. I was thinking more forest monsters with the axe, but axe’s are also useful in the apocalypse.

Having our main character Coach lose his arm basically since the start is a good way to set up the story. It shows that the zombies are serious business, kept him in the dark as to how bad things have seriously gotten, and forces him to already adapt to his new situation of his surroundings AND being left handed now.

The girls are cool too. I don’t know why I assume basketball since we never actually saw them practice, but they look really tight and will probably only get tighter by the end of the series.

And the way the comic itself is set up is good. It continues to forward the plot of what is happening, but also ends it with in-the-moment jokes, like with Lakka liking to hug and Ana knocking coach out. I think having realistic humor in a zombie setting will work well for this series.

Oh my Fibonacci Scale of 1 to 21, would give this a solid 21. It is charming, funny, realistic, inclusive, and I just want to know more about the characters as they try to survive. Also bonus, it is already completed so I will definitely try and finish this series. Maybe not as obsessive as my other liveblogging content, but it is one comic I will totally return to.
