It does have that Sitcom Vibe. That’s probably the best way to put it. It’s a nice casual comic that it seems like everyone agrees on. It would be nice to just continue with it for chill days.
Actually, I really like the idea of Breather Blogging. Where I just take a break and blog series that are either laid-back, pretty chill, or maybe even continue a series I haven’t blogged much about. Yeah, I’m definitely going to be using this.
So that was Dumbing of Age. How do I think of it, well..Relatable. I think that is a good word for it.
A lot of the topics the comic goes through is more/less my college experience, as well as some life ones. The feel of move-in day. The RA meetings. Bad roommates, good roommates. Love in college. Like, a lot of this is just so accurate to me.
Being able to switch to different people is good because it can cover a lot more topics as well as show in a lot of diversity that is in college. You are going to meet a lot of different people in college, with different backgrounds. It is good that this has a more realistic feel to college because of it.
Ruth is obviously my favorite by far, followed by Sarah. What can I say? They speak to me.
Joyce is going to have her eyes wide open by the time her first semester is over.
And good for Dorothy for putting herself first. I’m not saying that she couldn’t still have a relationship. But with Danny not really encouraging her to Yale and sort of hoping she would drop his dream for him? Yeah, that isn’t attractive at all. I wish her all the best for her Yale pursuit.
On my Fibonacci scale of 1 to 21: I’m going to give this one a 5, and not for the reason you think. It is hella relatable, nice 4 panel structure with jokes, and a large cast for more zany college life. I like that. But I’m not sure if this good blogging material. It is a good read, but I feel like more of a casual laid-back type of thing than something I want to really liveblog. Maybe I’ll get back to it, but it is sitting on the bench for now.
Why couldn’t my meetings be like this? All we did was talk about general stuff and that we wouldn’t get in trouble for doing drugs if we called the paramedics.
