Chapter 5 End
So that was chapter 5. It was pretty good.
Ava’s new fire-powers don’t hurt her. But they still are something she has to deal with. That drawer in her chest…oh god it’s a Treasure Chest I just got it. Anyway, the book is important. Maybe giving her advice and clues on how to tackle the whole “Take Down Titan” bit. And she has the vials of ghost-liquid? Is that to make 7 other people ghosts, or to try and gather those people?
Gil is like…super religiously into Titan, which is interesting to see Titan being viewed in different lenses (a savior, a conqueror, a company). And Gil is so fricken nice! And Ava didn’t know how to handle it! Like, gah I’m sorry but that was cute.
Though, now that I think about it, I wonder if maybe if I was into Ava and Gil being a couple because I wanted Gil to try and help heal Ava and boost her confidence, which would honestly be a crap reason to ship a couple together. Still though, they would look cute together, being Water and Fire.
But now Maggie is obviously into Gil and trying to see her chances. Which, like same, but come on you just woke up and your first gut instinct is to see if the guy’s available? Le Sign. She didn’t even ask about Ava who was also there.
Scavengers probably work for Titan, Ava is going to have a hell of a hard time explaining to Gil why she needs to kill Titan, and Gil’s backstory was pretty sad. Maggie may not have made a contract.
And this still doesn’t explain how he came into contact with Nevy if she wasn’t haunting him since day 1. Did she managed to make a pact/fusion but the fusion got killed so she had amnesia? No idea.
Things can only go up from here.
