Kanaya is just chucking breadcrumbs at Rose being like “Oh LOOK! Oh Look at these Crumbs! What are you going to do with these Crumbs Rose?!”
This is getting sad. Because, none of the kids could have saved their city, their planet, their homes. They could only save themselves. So Rose is trying to save her city again, even if it is just a bunch of cans stacked together she is going to protect it.
How often does Kanaya have to deal with this to be used to this?
If you wanted to preserve the city, sure. But maybe you should have done this weeks earlier and not around impact.
Looks like Rose isn’t the only one to pick up on alien slang.
But had she mentioned this sober or drunk?
Rose, just how often have you been drinking? Oh god, what if she drinks because she thinks it is the only way to see her mom in her dreams?
Look, I don’t blame Mayor for this. And I am glad that everyone loves Mayor. And I am glad that Rose is happy to help Mayor.
But this is seriously going to break my heart because drunk!Rose is acting childish when child!Rose couldn’t/didn’t, and I don’t want to make her sad :(
Oh no, oh no. Dammit Rose, don’t ruin this, I was so happy you two were dating, don’t screw it up by being an alcoholic. My heart can’t take anymore of this dating drama.
I know that she shouldn’t be drunk 24/7, but dammit she just looks so happy!
Part 276
Secrets have been revealed. Vriska willingly walks the path of the anti-hero, while some of her friends chose to dip. I hope Tavros can assemble their ghost army. John decides to keep the ring, and I hope that he gives it to Cali.
And now Rose is drunk in Can-tropolis. Hopefully we can get more lightheartedness before angst central…hopefully.
Alright! This is the encouragement I need. I am going to get that 413 session or die trying! (not really, but can you imaging how fucking cool it would be to end homestuck there on session 413?) I got this, seeing how I’ve been definitely going more than 15 pages lately. Now I’ve more pumped than ever!!!
Part 275 End
That does it for me today. God, that Vriska stuff is making me tear up.
Because, damn if she doesn’t try.
Everything she has done, from her childhood to present, was to try and be a hero. Was to try and shake off the villain narrative that she was forced into and be someone that can help people.
She has killed people for her own survival, but now she is willing to kill for others. To fight and plot and find the path to true victory in defeating English.
I think Vriska can be acturately summed up as an anti-hero. She does good things, but is willing to do bad things to get there. Willing to sacrifice people to help the greater good.
I mean, Vriska is right. While the rest of the universe is going to be nuked and destroyed to oblivion from all the Evil Cherubs, the ghosts get to enjoy themselves in an eternity of a 2nd life. 2nd chance. She was ok with their sacrifice because they were all meant to die naturally, and denied that a long time ago.
I can’t say I approve of those methods, of forcing people to act as bait like that, but I also can’t deny it either. It was effective, resourceful, and honestly? I can’t think of anything else that they could have done. If there was another way, any other possible way I would jump on it. But
desperate
times call for desperate measures.
Of course, not everyone feel like that. Sollux, Nepeta, Feferi, Tavros, and John don’t. I think that John and Tavros are rethinking their love for Vriska. Tavros especially. Maybe, maybe he will do what Vriska and Meenah couldn’t. Create the ghost army and lead everyone to battle, like his Beta-Ancestor. I mean, Sollux didn’t leave until Tavros did, so there is a chance.
I think she is also questioning Rose’s drinking habits if she now builds can-houses in her spare time.
So much for seeing the secret weapon. At least Can Town expanded to Can Metropolis.
Vriska, You are so complicated, but I respect you all the more for it.
She will do everything she can to save everyong, even if she has to jump to Hell to do it.
Vriska, she is so complex and I love her so much for it.
She has a point. The gods could have just kept them as sacrifices for the turtle they knew where coming.
She tried to do everything she can to defeat English. I’m not saying that it was morally correct, but I can’t argue against her intentions.
