I absolutely agree with you. Never have I felt in this comic that the anger is unjustified. It is very clearly stated Why the character is angry, How they got angry, and it doesn’t invalidate the anger they Express too.

I think that the reason the anger works, is because you can understand where the anger is coming from. You might not like the character, or agree with what they are angry with, but you understand why that character is angry and why that was their breaking point.

Hussie did a good job in showing their anger for every character, and not excusing it or belittling the reasoning for it.

So I really like these questions, and I asked my screeners/discord admins for their inputs.

Screener #1 said they are Rogue of Light

Screener #2 said they are Prince of Light, and liked Seer of Void for me, but not completely sure on it

Screener #3 said they are Mage of Light, and I might be the Bard of Void.

So I am loving this completely. I am Void, but all of my spoiler guardians are Light. It is like I am a black hole being circled by stars

I would absolutely LOVE a conversation with Classpects. This is a fascinating culture/persona that people can take from Homestuck. Like a mix of Astrology Sign meanings and Hogwarts House all rolled into different techniques and abilities. You can be sure that once I am done, I will listen to EVERYTHING that you guys throw at me on Classpects. And I would love to take that test to see what I get! That sounds like a lot of fun!!

Given that I have only seen 3 alpha-trolls: Feferi, Vriska, and Karkat (I am still on the belief that Alpha/Anti Jegus are one person), so I have 9 trolls to guess.  Took a while, and I don’t think I got all of them right, but here are some ideas I have.

Aradia

Alpha-A Aradia: Well first I hope she didn’t lose her soul here this time. Given that she is pretty cheery and peppy for being into death and funerals, I like the idea that Alpha-A Aradia would be the classic emo goth girl. The walking classic stereotype of someone who does love death and darkness, etc etc.

Tavros

I better fucking see Rufio rise here. Alpha-A Tavros is going to be fucking Rufio, fight me on this.

Sollux

Alpha-A Sollux wouldn’t have snark or intelligence. Like he can be smart, but not techy. I can see him be a peaceful artist, ones who just paints and is just generally chill and content with everything.

Nepeta

The fuck is the opposite of a cat?

Nepeta is basically a house cat. So I am thinking that Alpha-A Nepeta would be like a feral cat. Maybe acts tough, rough, and growls, but is more apt to run from danger than to fight it. I don’t think she would completely care about others, maybe apathetic towards them.

Kanaya

Yeah, Alpha-A Kanaya is a fucking loose cannon. While Kanaya acts mature and tries to help and comfort like the mom friend she is,, Alpha-A Kanaya is like a glamorista. I’m thinking Taako from TV behavior. She struts, has confidence for days, is not afraid to bluntly state her mind and take command and control, bombastic and outspoken on her opinion.

Terezi

Alpha-A Terezi is probably calm as fuck. Not crazy, doesn’t like red. Hell she might be color blind. Maybe she is a “by the books” type of prosecutor, the “no nonsense” type, who is always calm and collected and doesn’t do “childish” things.

Equius

This is Equius, a relationship with Equius. He has to have a fucking kink I can just feel it. He is also probably confident about his kink, and actually understands what exactly it does for him. Let’s go with him being like an majestic elf in the forest. Calm, elegant, rides horses in the moonlight, can snipe you with arrows like a boss, fights in a classy style.

Gamzee

Alpha-A Gamzee has not been high in his life. Straight Sober, but I am thinking he has a mentality of an accountant. There is a plan, the plan needs to be executed, he will work diligently for said plan, etc etc.

Eridan

First, Alpha-A Eridan is not a tool. Second, he is probably a conspiracy theorist. Or extremely fucking gullible. Loves magic and hands down believes in wizards. Does not speak in a condescending tone to anyone, and is probably like one of those genuine nice kids that you know in school, the ones that seems to be friends with everyone.

Don’t worry fam, I got you. I pulled out my own copy and looked.

You right, in the original story the Queen had nothing to do with the mirror. Demon Teacher just made it to explode on purpose for shits and giggles, and Queen kidnapped Kay because she liked Kay’s hatred and indifference. You right.

I think the reason I got slightly mixed up is because while I had the original Anderson version, the version I was remembering at the time was slightly different. You know how you can read different versions of Cinderella where the stepsisters were forgiven, ignored, or tortured and blinded by birds? Yeah, I have different versions of Snow Queen, but only remembered the version where she commissioned the mirror in the first place.

I mean……I could do that. But it sounds…complex too.

If I judge the troll ranking by plotlines, that means that I would judge them not by their personality, but by their character arcs. Where did I enjoy reading about Eridan’s failed love life and eventual betrayal of his friends/ex more or less than me reading about Aradia’s soullessness and how she managed to persevere after years of being ordered around to be reborn and to take control of her own life.

Something like that.

But the thing is….while I can do it….I don’t think it’s fair.

Taking plotlines to account, not everyone really got a fair share of the limelight. Some Trolls got WAY more than others. Are we really going to compare Nepeta’s conversations with Rose and Jaspers to Vriska trying to make Jack and sort of flirting with John?

Hell, I think that there some trolls that didn’t even get a plotline. Feferi? What about her? The only thing that is “plot important” so far is her making the dream bubbles, and then being killed by Eridan. I’m not saying that she isn’t a good or important character, I am saying that she has FAR less screen time than Karkat or Vriska, so it is completely stacked against her.

If there is enough interest, then maybe I will….but I don’t think I could right now.

Personally? Yeah, but not True Neutral. I think he is more Chaotic Neutral, maybe Neutral Evil, but definitely Chaotic Neutral.

We already know that Belkar isn’t Good since that Good Effecting spell didn’t work on Belkar. He doesn’t seem to show any type of traditions that he is devoted to follow himself, just basically what passes his fancy at the moment. So Lawful is out too.

So there are technically 3 alignments that I can see Belkar being: Chaotic Neutral, Neutral Evil, and Chaotic Evil. But I can’t see a good reason why Chaotic Evil character would ever join a party of Good Adventurers, especially with a Lawful Good person.

So by that thought process, I say he is Chaotic Neutral. Doesn’t give a shit really about anyone else, is ok with killing and violence, likes to fuck with people, can still join organizations to get better stuff (the party and the Barbarian Guild) and can still do good deeds when he feels like it.

I can see people arguing he is Neutral Evil, but the idea that he isn’t evil, but still is refusing to out his alignment to Miko just to fuck with her is something I can see him doing.

At least Roxy had some form of parental figures/companions with all the Chess Piece People on her floating suburbia. Dirk has nothing. No physical contact of any kind other than those trying to murder him. So…I think out of all 8 kids here, both Alpha and Beta, Dirk has the worst end of the stick. And while Jake/Jade were more/less alone too, they at least have animal companions, and a non-apocalyptic life while growing up.
