So between Anon #1 where adult gets foil by child daily, vs Anon #2 where age doesn’t matter because he acts like a kid anyway, I am going to stay neutral on this until I have seen more episodes of Zim. I need to know how the hell he manages to function on a daily basis before I can weigh in on my feelings of Zim’s age. Because both make a pretty good case.

I, honesty, have no idea how to tackle this.

You have any idea how LONG Act 6 Is???

I mean, of course you do! Anyone who has finished reading Homestuck would know.

BUT WHERE DO I START???

The Humor?! The intro to the Alpha Kids?! The Reveal of them being from the future?! Me being So Fucking Confused about how the baby-portal worked during the reset?! The fact that they actually explained what classes and aspects are?!

PLUS Intermissions, like 5 different plot lines besides the main one. The Ghosts, Jack and PM, Hussie, Slick, another Jack.

CHERUBS EXISTING!!!

Just, I have NO Idea where to begin! Act 6 is like it’s own novel series!

I mean, it’s GOOD! I’m not going to lie and say it isn’t. It is well paced, a ton of enjoyable characters, hilarious moments as well as tear-jerkers and major plot-twists. The action is on point, the drama, relationship talking (TRICKSTERS!! Can’t forget those little bastards).

So….yeah. Act 6, REALLY Fucking Good.

That is a pretty good point. If we think about relationships like in lawful/chaos, it just opens a new world of opportunities.

Lawful relationships would be an established monogamy or poligamy relationship, where each partner would only have a romantic/sexual relationship with their significant other(s).

While Chaotic Relationships would be something of an open relationship. Where it doesn’t matter if one partner does have sexual encounters outside the relationship, as long as it is established that the couple has a romantic one.

(I swear to god if I don’t find a thesis paper on the merits of love between alignments, quadrants, or every other idea of love that I have discovered from doing this blog, then I am going to fucking write one myself.)

AND THERE WE HAVE IT!

Episode 1 complete. Damn, that was a pretty good set up.

We know that his boss hates Zim (and somehow fear him?). Zim has a lovable but annoying and hyper robot Gir who doubles as a dog. He is pretending to be a human child to get information at skool where he meets his arch nemasis: Dib the Anime Matrix Boy.

There is so much lowkey absurd humor to this. The constant insults, the sense of dread and drama in everything. The exaggerated faces and voice acting, but then we get some nice small expressions like Zim’s smile. Man, this pilot went all out to tell us what exactly Invader Zim is about!

On my Fibonacci Scale of 1 to 21: This show is an obvious 21. It has all the dark, zany, absurdist humor that I loved as a child and loved even now. How I didn’t watch this show I will never know. But I do know it is something I WILL continue to watch.
