ok, so this is actually pretty amazing. First, the characters name from the story really is Kay and Gerda. Second

Eye and Heart. In the original original version, the guy was shot through the eye AND heart. Eye so all he saw was flaws and evil, heart so all he felt was evil and apathy.

And look

His eye is two different colors. There wasn’t anything implied like this in the story, so I love how the artist took liberties in showing the pierced eye.

Basically, this story is going to be a modern retelling of Snow Queen with more focus on the demons who made it (because yeah, demons did make it in the original) and I am hyped for it.
