I’m glad you asked, because I think I misread something that almost screwed me over. This is what I read.

See when I first read it, I read “Collateral damage from a corporation,” not “to a corporation.” So I was thinking that hey, Gramps is a billionaire explorer, and he as some secret ties with SBURB and the space planets, so it was his fault that the factory exploded from tests or whatever 13 years ago yadda yadda.

But since it’s “to a corporation”, this sort of killed my theory off right from the start. Glad you asked about it, otherwise I might have been looking for the wrong information.

But now I have a new headcanon that Gramps owns Betty Crocker.

( Yo, I just want to say thank you, and that it’s so cool that people are still liveblogging Homestuck in 2019! I’m grateful for it, it’s a cool way to relive the comic over again. I remember when the liveblogging trend was first getting started in around 2012, and I would follow a whole bunch. I’ve glad there are still people doing it! I think that might be my fault. I turned down the desktop recording for the flashes because I didn’t want the music to block out my voice so no one could hear me. And since I only get like one shot at a first time reaction, I just sort of left it like that. I can turn up the music next time and see how that goes

That’s a fair point. I wouldn’t mind rewatching the videos to remember stuff. The problem is that I am afraid of accidentally seeing suggested homestuck videos from the future that spoils something for me. Even if it is just a thumbnail. Or youtube even starts to suggest homestuck videos to me where the title does spoil something major.

But I can still go back and rewatch my own videos, so thanks for the idea!!

( The juice stained copies of the game are the ones Dave lost when he skewered that crow earlier. The ones he used to help Rose and get himself into the game were the copies he got from battling Bro on the rooftop. He only got the juice stained copies back after Jade gave them to him (and prototyped the bird) )

( Dave’s copies were never stolen by his brother. They were stolen by the crow and then fell out the window. Jade then picked them up and returned them when she prototyped the crow. Dave just had no need of them since he was already running the game with his bro’s copies at that point )

Don’t worry you’re not reading too deep into it, this was absolutely a sad and shocking twist for everyone. And it seems like you’re relating to Dave the most? He’s a relatable dude )

It’s just that there seems to be a tragedy with Jade that is so sad yet caring that I just can’t help gravitate towards it, you know? The idea that, while outwardly this game seems silly, it has dark implications that just kill me. So seeing my boy like Dave getting hurt like this just hurts.

If we find out that there was something similar with the other kids, I would probably just die. Which given the themes that Hussie is playing with, I will not be surprised

I’m glad that I can make a bunch of people smile with this. I really am.  This honestly started out as just a way for me to keep track of my own thoughts on homestuck, so I’m glad that so many people are just as entertained by me as me.

And yeah those video reactions came from a suggestion last summer. Thanks to that I managed to get better not only for homestuck, but some other video reactions with my sister. (So I am always open for suggestions if you want me to try something.)
