Honestly, you have to give Hussie credit on that. It takes skill to fix a mistake, but creativity to use it to your advantage.
you know, it actually occurs to me that I never even bothered to try and figure out the name thing for 14 and 15, so I’m glad that someone reveals the secrets to me.
Though I still think that Sawbuck is the dumbest slang ever
That is the dumbest slang I have ever heard.
That is good to know. I keep forgetting that when they see the planets and stars in the sky like that they are still on the same planet, not somewhere else or space traveling or whatever. I did see the Spades, but I guess I chalked that up to being “alternate-dimension” than “past Slick”. Will try to remember this in the future
Good Question. I don’t think that would be a problem. I highly doubt I would ever tackle Problem Sleuth, given that I’m not even a quarter of the way done with Homestuck. And if I do, it will probably be a while (years based on the rate I’m going), So yeah, if Problem Sleuth things come up and you want to explain the context to me that’s fine.
I new the names had some meaning, though my first thought was that since Doze had slow-time powers it would be like he was sleeping. And I think snowman is 8 because the number is in the shape of a snowman. And a Dis has 6 sides to it so no surprise there.
But I could not for the life of me figure out Itchy, so thank you for that one. Language is fun!
This is the stuff I would like to be called out on: My own stupidity. I guess that the last ask I had said Problem Sleuth which I remembered vaguely and I sort of connected the two together. And even though I know I saw a video on Midnight Crew, I just forgot about it in the moment. Like I said, Homestuck is the only Hussie thing I read, so I had no idea who was in what and why.
I still refuse to edit my posts because I should admit to my own mistakes, but thanks for the correction non the less.
But now I’m wondering who was the fan that paid for the start of Midnight Crew, and when did Hussie decided it would be cool to add it in permanently to Homestuck?
While this is still not exactly what I imaged him to look like, I can fucking buy that this is the weirdo who wrote Homestuck.
Maybe he stuck a bunch of weapons in his item slots? Since he is going to fight the Big Bad here. But I guess Hussie really liked his video game comics with a storage system since he keeps writing them in.
And I have not read Problem Sleuth, and I don’t know if I ever will. At least not until I’m done with Homestuck, whenever that is
I just sort of assumed that it was because Pool came from England or something. Thanks for the clarification, but it is still a stupid name (and term) for someone to use
Ok, yes. Originally I thought it was going to be like Grandma’s Ghost where she was telling an epilogue that I can just tack on to the end of act 3 like I did before. But seeing how it isn’t the case, I went back and changed the tags. They should be “intermission” for this intermission, and “act3-act4″ since it is between Act3 and Act4. This is a precaution in case there is another intermission in the future
How the fuck did I forget they were Chess Pieces?!? When I googled the word, all I got was crawfish! So I thought: Crawfish! I knew they were ches pieces from the beginning too!!! Gah, it’s the weird compliment that threw me off. Who goes up to someone saying “oh nice carapace you got on” ?
So yes, the explanation was for the word carapace. I can understand the boner part.
I want to say something snippy, but that is some good sarcasm right there; not gonna lie.
And it’s not like I actually pay attention to their names when I have my own versions to use
This is the most bizare yet uplifting story I have ever read. The fact that he found the damn thing in the firts place, the fact he fundraised for it, and 2 fucking people gave him $300 so he can get it…I think it’s the way he wrote it like it was an inspiring epic that I can’t seem to get it out of my mind
But I never expected to finally see what this guy actually looked like
I know that’s him. But he does not look like him. I don;t know what I was expecting, but that was not the Hussie I was imaging. He reminds me of Seth Everman with hair
I’m not sure anyone can top anime fake brands like Wacdonnalds or Sentucky Fried Chicken, but I would love to see fake Ms. Buttersworth projects. (Grashers)
Also, I thought Hiveswap was a spinoff au comic, so I guess I’m glad my original assumption that Homestuck was a weird game finally came true
I love seeing like symbolism things like that. Like, their own shirt motif. John’s with ghosts, Jade with plants, Rose with monsters, Dave with the records. I originally had the idea of their shirts being that their powers/sprites were, but with Dave getting a ghost raven (?) in the future that got busted. I can’t wait to see more stuff like that! But it also now terrifies me that Cal is tied into Dave’s association. I just want that puppet to go away and never return.
Also, if Dave fights his brother like this all the time, would that sound like a broken record?
There no harm done. My Screener also had the same opinion, where Homestuck can get so convoluted that it’s hard to keep track of plot lines. The reason I was so fixated on it is that, while I do like time travel, the idea of forgetting something and not realizing you’ve forgotten anything terrifies me. So yeah, I appreciate that you wanted to help me out and calm me down.
But just in general, if I get a theory that is wrong, and will be proven wrong eventually, try to let me work it out first, especially if there is some more information that I’ll eventually see to prove me wrong.
You know, it’s ominous statements like these make makes people get intrigued for the story; me included. First the wizard pics, then this? Is there a secret Hussie Lore book that only Homestuck Fans are in the know?
That is what I figured, and I will never get context for it at all. And honestly, it’s better this way.
Thanks. I try being detailed because it helps me formulate my thoughts and theories a lot easier. It is especially easy to explain when I have so many homestuck pictures to look back on.
And while on the subject, can I ask you guys not to correct me if my theory is wrong on something? I’m find if you guys call me out if I say something isn’t true (Hussie using Paint), but if I have a theory going on that is going to be disproved eventually, can I ask you hold off on telling me so until then? That way it will feel more natural to me when I finally figure it out.
As long as there are no spoilers, I will still answer asks like these, it’s just as a preference of mine.
